Versions of STRand prior to version 2.4 and January 2009 are licensed under the GNU General Public License.

STRand includes a sample database containing one gel to verify that things are working. Log in as "User", click on the gel in the list, click the "DNA Type" button. It should then open the gel and let you look at each lane.
